Home Project Idea!

I posted an article today on to my LinkedIn which presents a Python script which works with the AWS BOTO3 Libary. It’s a relatively easy script to understand for people who are first starting out using Python and AWS.

The main focus of the script is to deregister AMI’s and their associated snapshots. Storage in any Cloud Environment is one of the biggest overheads, people spend thousands, even millions on storage every month!

As a Cloud Engineer you’ll routinely run cost saving exercises on your accounts to try save as much as possible. This is also a great project to present on your CV because what do companies love more than anything? Saving Money. And if they can hire staff who think like that, win… win!

Tech Toby Segment

Well, now on to me I guess? I want to have a section that highlights anything going on with me and my content, because ultimately that’s what you guys are subscribing for and probably where you first found me.

Recently I’ve felt demotivated to make TikTok content because my viewing has dropped. But at the same time, I still get messages on Instagram, LinkedIn etc regularly from my follows thanking me for all the advice and help I give them. How can I throw that away? That’s what I started this for. And it made me realise, views don’t matter, of course they help because I can reach more people. But I would trade the 100 people who really appreciate me for the 1000 people who don’t.

You’re all the true motivation behind this, and without you all it wouldn’t be possible. I appreciate all of you.
